It's time to say goodbye ---
Kenova MatthewAfter 20+ years, CK is saying goodbye -- nothing disasterous, but the time has come to close the doors for the last time. Over the next few months, we'll be clearing out the last of the inventory, and while we'll still be in the scene --- the CK you knew and loved will be gone.
Kenova, the founder, retired after 15 years of entrepreneurship and consulting with small businesses, followed by another 15 in law enforcement. He is now back in graduate school, finishing a degree in counseling as a trauma therapist. There is a severe shortage of male counselors (especially for men in crisis, PTSD survivors, victims of polysubstance addiction -- the list is endless) -- and the work never ends.
Cassie has been involved with CK since 2010, and is a full time trauma therapist. She also teaches certification and professional education courses on trauma within the lifestyles, treating men's issues and addressing gender specific traits in therapy. And the need for specialist therapists is growing faster than she can keep up while still helping CK.
Kailey, everyone's favorite, joined CK in 2016 and has been a ray of sunshine since. She's completed an AS and BS in Business while with us, and has been scouted by multiple recruiters since becoming our Support manager. She'll be leaving us to move to northern VA, working with a startup based outside the Beltway.
May, our setup girl and errand runner at events -- well, to be honest, she was into this because she's Kenova & Cassie's little girl (not that kind, you pervo's) and she has been traveling between her life in Harrisburg and events with us mainly to spend time with her weird family. When we asked if she wanted to take over the business and keep vending, she responded something to the effect of -- "Nnnnooooo more peni. Noooooo more. I've seen more floppy peni than any gay-mer girl needs."
